Buck Brothers on Fearless Music TV this week in the USA

Buck Brothers performed 'Girls, Skirts, Boots, Bikes' on Fearless TV in NYC on May 31st. The trio were in good company with great bands like Elbow, Be Your Own Pet and The Cliks also appearing on the show. But none of these great bands were as well decked out as Buck Brothers very own Craig was on the night.

Fearless Music TV is on Saturday nights at 12:30am on Fox 5 in NYC-- if you're not in NYC, check out the time and channel listing at the Fearless Music Myspace blog to find out when and where else they air stateside as the show is syndicated across America.

Before and after the episode airs, go to the Fearless Music website and vote for your favorite band (Buck Brothers, of course). The band that receives the highest amounts of votes will be featured again on next week’s episode, so be sure to catch the band's performance and vote till your heart's content!

Check out Buck Brothers on Fearless TV and don't forget to vote!

Bucking in the USA

Buck Brothers just completed a highly successful first tour of the USA which saw the trio loved in LA, awestruck in Austin, tantalised in Tulsa, filled with love in Philadelphia and becoming the apple of everyone's eye in the Big Apple. The band were also honoured to have Rodney Bingenheimer from KROQ introduce their first gig on Sunset Strip in LA; the first time the legendary dj has kicked off a show in three years. With three appearances at SXSW (see below), including a suppport slot with UK rapper Dizzy Rascal, and a live television debut on Fearless Music TV - the three Bucks couldln't have asked for a better introduction stateside. Further exciting developments are planned for Buck Brothers in America including further national television performances and another tour. Watch this space for further details.

SXSW to get Bucked

Buck Brothers have been invited to play at South By South West (SXSW) 2008 deep in the heart of Austin, Texas next month (March).

The SXSW MUSIC AND MEDIA CONFERENCE showcases hundreds of musical acts from around the globe on over fifty stages in downtown Austin. By day, conference registrants do business in the SXSW Trade Show in the Austin Convention Center and partake of a full agenda of informative, provocative panel discussions featuring hundreds of speakers of international stature.

The band will be playing at the "Viper Room/Swinghouse Studios SXSW Party" on 13th March @ 'The Orchid'.

And further Bucking will take place at Monster Energy Side One Show on Friday the 14th @ Spiro's during day (Time TBA later).

Apparently "they do things bigger and better in Texas" and the trio looking forward to finding out.

Buck Brothers on World Famous KROQ in LA 21 weeks in a Row

We are as pleased as a person awash with oodles of pleasure to report that Buck Brothers have been spun for 21 weeks in a row on uber dj legend Rodney Bingenheimer's 'Rodney on the Roq' show in Los Angeles.

A musical institution on US radio for more than 30 years, Bingenheimer has been spinning 'Girls, Skirts, Boots, Bikes' on every one of his shows for the last 4 months. The man who broke 'The Ramones', Blondie, Depeche Mode, Franz Ferdinand and 'The Killers' in the states has also played Buck Brothers' 'She's Red', 'One Day I'll Say It' and 'Mannish Girl' on his popular show.

For those of you not in the know about Rodney's significance in music circles stateside, please have a look at the video below and you'll see just how much of an honour the support from 'the mayor of the sunset strip' is to the Buck clan.

We've also been informed by KROQ that Buck Brothers have been the most requested band on the show all year. All three of us thank YOU for making this happen. And we also thank Rodney Bingenheimer for believing in us.

Big hugs from London.

Buck Brothers' 'Me' Hits Number 7 in US Commercial Radio Specialty Chart and also Enters CMJ (College Radio) Chart i

We are incredibly happy to inform the world and everywhere that Buck Brothers' "Me", which was released in the USA on 9 October '07, debuted at #173 on the CMJ 200 national charts this week (24 October) in the states. In plain English this means that Buck Brothers have entered the national college chart in the states. And, to add a cherry on the cake of our lives - we've also just found out that the band's debut album hit number 7 in the US Commercial Radio Specialty Chart (source: MediaGuide/KKBB).

This is a significant achievement for Buck Brothers in two regards:

1. The trio are one of only a handful of independent artists on the chart at the time

2. The Buck clan are also one of the only independent bands to ever have their debut album chart on the CMJ Top 200.

Not bad for a London based trio based an ocean (and sometimes a continent) away from the 400 radio stations across the states that have been spinning 'Me'. Thanks to this achievement, BB are in the middle of planning our first US tour in March '07 to coincide with South By South West (SXSW).

Thanks to everyone involved and for helping our album along. Pink fluffy props also go out to the fans and to the stations' listeners across North America.

Want to become a Buck Rep?

Buck are releasing their first single (digitally) in the UK on February 26th and this is where we need your help.   Despite the success of the band, the music industry is a hard shell to brake. If Buck are to make it on the main stage they will need a lot of people to buy their single: in the end sales are the only thing that will get them noticed.   We will need around 3000 people to buy the single in order to get charted.   Buck Reps will be essential to the success of Buck Brothers.   We need to get a huge database of e-mail addresses so that we can ask everyone to buy 'Girls in Skirts with Boots on Bikes' when the single is released.   We are looking for Buck Reps to basically try to spread the word about the band to all their friends and anyone else they can.   As a Buck Rep you will get your name and comments listed on the Buck Brothers web site and will get a personal e-mail from the band.   Please also let us know if you have any innovative ideas about how to spread the Buck word!!

If you would like to become a Buck Rep simply send an e-mail to info@buckbrothers.net titled 'Buck Rep' and put a comment or quote and attach a photo if you like!  In addition, you can provide links to any websites your run (e.g. myspace). We will put this on the web-site (assuming it is appropriate!!) and you will receive a personal e-mail from the band.

Buck Brothers Nominated as Best Int'l Artist at 2006 Orange County Music Awards USA (8th April)

Despite the band's recent ordeal with US Homeland Security last month (see story below), Buck Brothers' stars are still rising on the other side of the pond as the trio were nominated as Best Interantional Artist at Orange County Music Awards. Although the band were scheduled to perform at the televised ceremony, which took place at Anaheim's Grove Concert Theatre on the 8th of April, Buck Brothers were forced to cancel in light of recent events. But every cloud has a silver lining and we are pleased to report that the Best Int'l Artist Award went to good friends and label-mates Broomfiller. Well done lads.

Buck Brothers Nominated at Southern California Music Awards

Building on from the band's recent promotional tour of the US, and their appearance/nomination at Inland Empire Music Awards (see below) in Palm Springs, California - the band returned home to the UK this week to the exciting news of yet ANOTHER awards nomination in the USA. The trio are up for 'Best International Artist' at next month's Southern California Music Awards which are scheduled to take place at the Warner Grand Theatre in Los Angeles on 11 February.

Band adds a string to their bow....

Following their attendance at NAMM (the world's largest music instrument/technology exhibition) on 21st January, we are pleased to report that Buck Brothers are currently in the middle of finalising an endorsement deal with an exciting new US based guitar and bass string manufacturing company. Details of this will be announced at the end of January. In addition, many other tour backline companies have expressed an interest in working with the group. This is incredibly positive news as backline support means longer tours. And longer tours mean the band can visit more fans in more places. All of which is rather smashing news for this Bucking trio of tour dogs. (UPDATE: The string company endorsement deal has been confirmed and the band are now proud users of Curt Mangan strings)

Buck Brothers nominated as 'Best International Group'

Buck Brothers have been nominated for Best International Act at the Inland Empire Music Awards to be held in Morongo, California next month.

BB will be flying down to the posh Morongo Casino Resort in the heart of the Golden State to present an award, as well as take part in the ceremonies (and hopefully win an award too!!).

Props of an enormous variety need to go to good friends in Canadian uber rock band "Broomfiller" for also being nominated in the same category. We reckon that Inland Empire Music Awards should give accolades to both bands in an unprecended 'tie' situation.

Read more about the event here.
