Buck Brothers track features on US College Radio Station's 'Best of The British Releases 2005'

WRIR 97.3 FM's "Future Perfect Radio Show" in Richmond, Virginia have put Buck Brothers' "Which me do you like?" in their illustrious list of Best British Releases for 2005. It's been a brilliant year for the band and this accolade is a fitting way to add extra cheer to the yuletide season festities for the trio. Read more about it here.

Although winter's chill is undoubtedly being felt in Buck Brothers home of London, England - a dedicated Buckster in the far cooler environs of Minnesota, USA has established the Official Buck Brothers Fan Club. Following their appearance at Toronto Independent Music Awards last month, Buck Brothers have collaborated with Richard D. Leko from Canadian band Broomfiller on the bucktastic Girls, Skirts, Boots, Bikes. Ontario native Leko provides drums and backing vocals on the new tune that, not surprisingly, just so happens to be about girls in skirts and boots on bikes. Broomfiller are making serious waves on the other side of the pond and plans are already underway for a Buck & Broom joint tour in the new year. Watch this space. Click here to listen to the track.

Buck Brothers make US College Radio Top 20 (Nov '05)

'The World According to Buck', the band's debut release in the US/Canada, is currently receiving radio play in North America and we're pleased to report that the band have been enjoying some chart action. WKNH (New Hampshire) have the band at Number 4, WDWN (Auburn, New York) are getting Bucked at Number 8 and WPCX (South Carolina) are enjoying a high Buck entry at Number 5. WSRI (University of Wisconsin Radio) have put the trio at Number 19 in their chart. WALF (Alfred, New York) are a hard Buck at number 20 and, a mere continent and half an ocean away, the band have entered the KURH (Hilo, Hawaii) chart at 24, WCWM (Williamsburg, Virginia features a Bucking good placement at 29. And the good news is that this is just the beginning as BB HQ have just been informed that 300+ radio stations on the other side of the pond have started to put the band's release on heavy rotation. Buck Brothers leave their mark in Toronto (Oct '05)

andy in toronto Toronto used to be graffiti free before Buck Brothers arrived.

In addition to attending the Toronto Independent Music Awards, where the band were nominated as 'Best International Artist', Buck Brothers' Andy Duke also presented the 'Best Alternative Artist' award at the ceremony.

The festivities took place at Toronto's Phoenix Concert Theatre - a 1930s vintage 4,500 capacity venue located in the heart of the city. The band made many strong links with both Canadian and US based music industry/media movers and shakers and are currently in negotiations with promoters on both sides of the border (the US/Canadian one that is) to arrange a full scale North American tour in the new year.

Upon arriving in Toronto, the band initially thought that the city was filled with Buck Brothers posters and signs on every other corner. Until a closer inspection revealed that the city's carpark signs borrowed rather heavily from the band's logo.

North American Radio to be "Bucked" from 17 October

Buck Brothers UK based label, Back2Forward, are working in partnership with TinderboxMusic in the US to co-ordinate a full scale promotional campaign across 450 college radio stations in North America from 17 October. This is very exciting news for Buck Brothers and will undoubtedly be the tip of the iceberg for further promotion in both the US and Canada. Following the band's participation at MusicWorks Conference in Glasgow and Toronto Independent Music Awards last month, Buck Brothers have been forging some strong links with the North American music industry culminating in the band's first scheduled tour of the US & Canada with Broomfiller in 2006.


Buck Brothers nominated as 'Best International Artist' at Toronto Independent Music Awards

Much like the Grammys, the Toronto Music Awards are designed to showcase and award talent found in all musical genres. Performances at the awards show will feature a selection of acts from different genres. Over 15 awards will be handed out to winners representing everything from "Best Pop Rock" to "Best Jazz". Buck Brothers have been nominated in the "Best International Artist" category and have been invited to the event being held at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto on 5th October.
