Toronto used to be graffiti free before Buck Brothers arrived.
In addition to attending the Toronto Independent Music Awards, where the band were nominated as 'Best International Artist', Buck Brothers' Andy Duke also presented the 'Best Alternative Artist' award at the ceremony.
The festivities took place at Toronto's Phoenix Concert Theatre - a 1930s vintage 4,500 capacity venue located in the heart of the city. The band made many strong links with both Canadian and US based music industry/media movers and shakers and are currently in negotiations with promoters on both sides of the border (the US/Canadian one that is) to arrange a full scale North American tour in the new year.

Andy in a flight of fancy at Toronto's Phoenix Concert Theatre
Upon arriving in Toronto, the band initially thought that the city was filled with Buck Brothers posters and signs on every other corner. Until a closer inspection revealed that the city's carpark signs borrowed rather heavily from the band's logo.

North American Radio to be "Bucked" from 17 October
This is Radio Buck
Buck Brothers UK based label, Back2Forward, are working in partnership with TinderboxMusic in the US to co-ordinate a full scale promotional campaign across 450 college radio stations in North America from 17 October. This is very exciting news for Buck Brothers and will undoubtedly be the tip of the iceberg for further promotion in both the US and Canada. Following the band's participation at MusicWorks Conference in Glasgow and Toronto Independent Music Awards last month, Buck Brothers have been forging some strong links with the North American music industry culminating in the band's first scheduled tour of the US & Canada with Broomfiller in 2006.
Buck Brothers nominated as 'Best International Artist' at Toronto Independent Music Awards

Much like the Grammys, the Toronto Music Awards are designed to showcase and award talent found in all musical genres. Performances at the awards show will feature a selection of acts from different genres. Over 15 awards will be handed out to winners representing everything from "Best Pop Rock" to "Best Jazz". Buck Brothers have been nominated in the "Best International Artist" category and have been invited to the event being held at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto on 5th October. May the Labatt's flow freely when the boys are in town.

Andy: "Bucking hell!"
In addition to the video premiere, some new Buck Brothers tracks will be making their way here so do come back regularly with wide ears and stiff body parts. And, as if that wasn't enough - more gigs have been added to the band's roster of dates too. At this rate, everyone's hometown (in the world everywhere) will be Bucked soon.
